These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules (regulamin) for using dobryPIT, within the meaning of art. 8 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means. They govern your use of the service from the moment you create an account.
You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance box when you create an account or when we ask you to accept an updated version. The contract for the service starts at that moment and lasts until your account is deleted.
You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to use the service.
dobryPIT is a brand name. It is not yet operated by a registered company. The operator's full legal name, address, and registration numbers (and, once a company is registered, its KRS, NIP and REGON numbers) will be published here before any paid feature is offered. Until then, you can reach the operator through the Contact page.
dobryPIT is software that applies the Polish rules for taxing investment income (PIT-38 and the PIT/ZG attachment) to data that you enter or import yourself, and shows you an estimate with a line-by-line breakdown.
dobryPIT does not prepare, sign, or file any tax return on your behalf, and is not affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, Twój e-PIT, or e-Deklaracje. You decide what to report and you file your return yourself. The result depends entirely on the completeness and accuracy of the data you provide, and you should check it against your broker documents before relying on it.
To use the service you need an internet connection, a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge with JavaScript and cookies enabled, and an email address to create an account. Broker statements can be imported as CSV, XLSX or PDF files of up to 5 MB.
Some features (currently: importing more than the free allowance of broker statement rows in a tax year) require a one-time payment. Before you pay, we show you the gross price (including VAT), what you get, and how you can withdraw. The price shown at the time of purchase is what you pay.
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of payment without giving a reason, unless you expressly agreed, before payment, that we start providing the paid feature immediately and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been provided. Refunds are made within 14 days, using the same payment method you used.
A paid feature must work as described. If it doesn't, you have the rights set out in the Polish Consumer Rights Act for digital content and services, including repair, a price reduction, or a refund.
Nothing in the service is tax, legal, or financial advice, and we do not provide tax advisory services within the meaning of the Polish Act on Tax Advisory Services. Our support covers only the technical use of the software — we cannot answer questions about how your individual situation should be taxed. For that, consult a licensed tax adviser (doradca podatkowy).
Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from something outside your control, such as a security failure on our side.
You keep ownership of the data you enter or import. We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You must not upload unlawful content, files you are not entitled to use, or other people's personal data (except where the file concerns you and that is unavoidable). Do not upload files designed to disrupt the service.
We apply the rules as described on the Methodology page and keep them up to date to the best of our ability. Tax rules, rates and limits change, and some situations are outside what the software covers (these are listed on the Methodology page and shown as warnings where we can detect them). The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of failures of our hosting providers.
If you are a consumer, we are liable to you in accordance with the law, and nothing in these Terms limits that liability. We are not responsible for results that are wrong because the data you entered or imported was incomplete or incorrect, or because you filed a return without checking it.
If you use the service as a business (not as a consumer), our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except for damage caused intentionally.
You can complain about the service through the Contact page. Please describe the problem and, if relevant, the tax year and statement concerned. We will reply within 14 days. If you are a consumer and we do not reply within that time, your complaint is deemed accepted.
The software, design, and content of dobryPIT belong to its operator or are used under licence. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the service itself.
Names of brokers and other companies (for example Revolut, Interactive Brokers, eToro) are used only to indicate which statement formats the service supports. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account on the Account page.
We may end the contract with 14 days' notice sent to your email address, with the reason. We may suspend or end it immediately only for a serious breach of these Terms, such as uploading unlawful content or attempting to disrupt the service. Unused paid features are refunded if we end the contract for reasons other than your breach.
We may change these Terms for important reasons, such as a change in the law, in the features offered, or in how the service is provided. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before a change takes effect and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. If you don't accept it, you can end the contract before the change takes effect by deleting your account; changes never affect purchases already made.
These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
If you are a consumer, you can use out-of-court options, including free help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) and mediation or a consumer arbitration court at the Voivodeship Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (WIIH). Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
The Polish version of these Terms is the binding version. The English and Ukrainian versions are translations provided for convenience.
